Developing Pastoral Caring – this module is normally only available to those who have done the Certificate level course ’Introduction to Pastoral Caring’.

This module builds on the foundation set in the Introduction to Pastoral Caring course. While pastoral caring may occur ‘naturally’ as part of a Christian community, it is important in any ministry context to reflect biblically and theologically on this activity. The importance of proactive as well as reactive care will be highlighted. A major emphasis in this course is on listening skills and how to listen in a way that is biblically helpful. Some key issues will be discussed in more depth.
