Tuesdays evenings on Zoom 7.30 pm - 9.30 pm

An introduction to the Old Testament with Jonathan Schuster.

During four weeks, you will be able to explore the fascinating background, geography, and theology of the Old Testament with a focus on how these diverse texts apply to us today.

You will walk away from this class falling deeper in love with Jesus and having a greater appreciation for some of the hidden gems just waiting to be discovered in this Divine masterpiece!

Week 1 - The stage: The literary, cultural, and geographical context of the Old Testament.

Week 2 - Creation & Promise: From Adam to Abraham.

Week 3 - Torah, Part 1: Patriarchs, Plagues, and the People of God.

Week 4 - Torah, Part 2: The OT Gospel.

The cost for this short course is €40 euros - participation only (€20 unwaged) or €60 euros - participation with assessment. The accreditation is eligible for the IBI Foundation Award.

About Jonathan Shuster

Jonathan is originally from Michigan, where he lives with his wife Becky and 3 sons Caleb, Andrew and Evan. He served on the faculty and staff of IBI between 2004 - 2020, where he taught Old Testament Studies and also courses in Church History, Mentoring & Discipleship, Leadership, and Homiletics.
While on the faculty of IBI, Jonathan finished his doctoral degree at Knox Seminary in biblical geography. His greatest passion has been, for many years, to lead biblical study tours to Israel.
