Not everyone can study full or part-time, or wishes to pursue a validated award. That is why we also offer the option of taking individual modules.
Modular courses can be taken in three ways.
1. Classroom modules by day or evening
Each of the subjects on our timetable can be taken as a stand alone module either for credit or for audit.*
Here is a sampling of subjects on offer:
- The Story of the Church
- Introduction to Biblical Theology
- Life and Teaching of Jesus
- Christian Ethics
- Developing Leadership
- Pastoral Care
- New Testament
- Old Testament
- Faith in Contemporary culture.

2. Foundation Award
You can also gain an IBI Foundation Award by combining a series of classroom and/or online modules.
A Foundation Award is given when you complete a specific number of modules. This award can be gained through the following methods:
- Eight online modules with Participation Awards
- Four classroom modules done with assignments
- A mix of the above. Two online module participation awards are equivalent to one classroom module with assessment for the Foundation Award

Each subject or module costs:
For Audit = €200
With assignments = €300
To complete the IBI Certificate and gain credit = €450
Online module fees €50 participation and €70 with assessment
*You can opt to simply enjoy the module without completing assignments or count it for credit at a later stage towards the IBI certificate.
